Pune, 3rd March 2020:
Imperial Society of Innovative Engineers (#ISIEINDIA) and The Automotive Research Association of India (#ARAI) signed an MoU today to launch a National Rally called “Electric Solar Vehicle Championship: ESVC 3000+ Rally”. This National Level Rally is planned on the theme of #WorldSolarChallange, Australia. It’s India’s Solar Vehicle Challenge –#ESVC.
The vehicles designed and manufactured by Engineering Colleges Students will start from Delhi and will end at ARAI Pune at its Academy at Chakan. (Approximately it will Cover 1600+ KMs in 8 Days). The rally is endorsed/supported by the #NITIAayog, GOI. As Whole world is facing problem of pollution, every year this problem is taking wider form. This rally aims to spread message to all towards #GOGREEN and create awareness for non-renewal charging for EVs, leading to zero CO2 Emission.
“ESVC-Electric Solar Vehicle Championship” is flagship event of ISIEINDIA, where 6 Seasons of this event have been organised, with participation of around 400+ colleges,showcasing their talent with new and innovative approach in past seven years.
Highlight of the Rally
- Global Teams from various parts of the world will be invited to India to participate in this event. The Vehicle will be fully flashed with Advance safety technologies.
- The Event will have an Awareness Impact on 7 Crore People of India.
- The Event will produce Innovators, Entrepreneurs and Skilled Engineers.
- The event is producing strong message towards eMobility; Renewable Energy.
This event is open for all: Students/Academicians/Professionals from India or Abroad can form a team and participate in a National Level Rally. It would be one of the longest rally from New Delhi to Pune, basically for creating awareness and encouraging youths towards E-Mobility & Renewable Energy. The Rally will pass through number of cities and there would be safety checks at every cities or at every 200 km range. With every vehicle, Safety car will be provided to assist the drivers, in case of any help required.
Every team has to qualify for various aspects as per the Benchmark. Technical & Safety Inspectors will be from ARAI, Honda, Renault-Nissan, Tata Motors, TVS, Hero Group and FMSCI Officials. On the safety point of view, every vehicle must go through all the Technical Inspection, Safety Inspection, Off Road Test, Rain Test and various vehicle performance tests before starting the Rally.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Rashmi Urdhwareshe, Director ARAI said, "The Solar Car Rally will provide a platform for the overall development of an engineering student team towards Electric Mobility with renewable charging. This rally will enable our budding engineers to grapple with real-life applications and improve their skills related to design, analysis, problem solving besides enhancing their interpersonal skills and self-confidence. This will also create awareness among younger generation towards Sustainable Mobility”.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vinod Gupta, Founder & President of ISIE said, “ESVC 3000 Will not only create a student innovator, entrepreneur a skilled engineer towards E- Mobility Industry but also create an ecosystem among general mass for adopting E-Vehicles, in the future. It will also help in creating a healthy competition among institutions for providing quality education and students will learn to practically implement their classroom concepts in the form of creating a highly durable, innovative Solar Electric vehicles which is going to be the future of India,& support India’s E- Mobility Mission 2020”.
